Features
- Any amount received into the account will be used to repay the facility.
- Linked to your agreed transaction account, your Temporary Overdraft lets you access additional funds (up to an approved limit) due to an emergency.
- No fees or interest is charged unless the account is overdrawn past the facility expiry date.
- Overdrawn amounts that are not repaid beyond the facility expiry date will be subject to Debit Excess interest.
- The additional funds can be accessed for a limited period, with a maximum term of 62 days.
- When the balance of their eligible CBA bank account reaches zero, customers will get access to an overdraft facility to cover expenses.
Eligibility
- Employment status — Eligible to workEligible to work in Australia and receiving regular income (not unemployment benefits).
- Minimum age — 18 years- You are aged 18 years and above. years
- Individuals onlyYou can only use for personal, domestic or household purposes due to an emergency. Cannot be used for investment or business purposes or by trustees or nonpersonal entities.
- Available on accounts with a maximum of 2 account holders.
- Joint account holders must have equal use of the overdraft.
- Must already hold or be eligible to open a CommBank Everyday Account.
- Must have a source of funds with which to repay the Temporary Overdraft facility before the expiry date.
- Residency status — Residency StatusMust have an Australian residential address.
